ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

It is the policy of the Millennium Foundation Kosovo (MFK) to ensure that, in carrying out its mandate
of promoting an innovative solution for sustainable energy, transparent governance and inclusive society,
it will effectively and equitably manage environmental and social risks, with the goal to improve
outcomes.

This policy presents the commitments of the MFK and articulates the principles and standards to which
the MFK will hold itself accountable. To this end, MFK is committed to implementing the Threshold
Program in accordance with the IFC Performance Standards, Millennium Challenge Corporation
(MCC) Environmental Guidelines, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Gender Policy and
Guidelines and Environmental and Social Legislation of the Government of Kosovo.
