Environmental and Social Performance Consultant

Letafete Latifi is an Environmental and Social Performance consultant at MFK. With more than 20 years of experience, her field of expertise includes but not limited to water and air quality monitoring, climate change, and environment. Throughout this period, she has been engaged and contributed to various environmental projects funded by the European Union, JICA, MCC, USAID, GIZ, SIDA, and other donors.

Among some of the most important roles Letafete has played so far are the ones as Kosovo group member of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory, as well as, as a member of the National Secretariat for Climate Changes, representing Kosovo at the European Environmental Agency and the European Environment Information and Observation Network (EIONET), reporting on air quality and climate changes in Kosovo.

Prior to joining MFK, Letafete served as Director of Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute, and as Acting Chief Executive of Kosovo Environment Protection Agency.

Letafete graduated from the University of Pristina, in Engineering and Chemical Technology. To strengthen her professional capacity, she specialized in the Management and monitoring of the air quality at the Regional Agency for Prevention, Environment, and Energy of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. As of 2012, she is a holder of a Masters degree in Chemical Technology.
