MCC Board of Directors selects Kosovo eligible for Compact

At its quarterly meeting, the U.S. Government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Board of Directors met to select countries eligible for MCC assistance, which is designed to spur economic growth and reduce poverty.

The Board selected Kosovo for a bilateral compacts – MCC’s five-year grant program. The Board  has previously agreed a Threshold Program for Kosovo. The Government of Kosovo through Millennium Foundation Kosovo will continue implementing a $49million Threshold, while in parallel developing potential projects for MCC’s Compact consideration.

The news arrived in Kosovo via a phone call from MCC acting CEO Jonathan Nash to Kosovo’s PM Ramush Haradinaj on the eve of December 11, 2018.
