MFK visits the Ministry of Education of Montenegro

A delegation from Millennium Foundation Kosovo visited the Ministry of Education of Montenegro to promote Women in Science Summer Camp to be held in Prishtina in August 2019.

 

MFK CEO Petrit Selimi accompanied by GSI Specialist Violeta Rexha and education consultant Gresa Statovci presented the objectives and the overall agenda of the WiSciKosovo and invited the Montenegrin authorities to help with recruitment of Montenegrin girls interested in this STEM-based camp, co-organized by MFK, MCC, State Department, UN’s GirlUp Foundation and Intel Corporation.

 

MFK CEO Selimi stated: “This summer camp provides an opportunity for girls from the entire region to develop leadership skills while focusing on developing their science, technology and mathematics skills. We are thankful for the support that the Ministry of Education in Montenegro is ensuring an inclusive environment.’

 

Montenegro Deputy Minister of Education Mr Marash Dukaj has stated: “Montenegro is focused on developing STEM abilities throughout the education system and is thankful for MFK and MCC for inviting girls to participate in this program. We will be eager to support  this program with the support of US government”.

 

WiSciKosovo Camp is an extended activity of MFK aiming greater gender and social inclusion.

 

MFK is an independent entity established to implement the Threshold Agreement between Kosovo and the US government aiming to tackle binding constraints for the growth of the economy of Kosovo.
