Criteria for Application

Scholarship program is open to all qualifying girls and women residing in Kosovo who meet the following requirements:

—Be at least 18 years old;

—Hold a high school diploma. Women with a university degree or who are currently enrolled in university studying on the fields related to the energy sector, but not limited to, are encouraged to apply;

—Proficient in spoken and written English¹;

—Able to demonstrate knowledge of energy sector related fields²;

—Able to demonstrate strong ties to Kosovo and commitment to work in the energy sector of Kosovo after the completion of the program;

—Able to begin the program in Fall, 2019;

—Able to show passion to inspire Kosovar women in relation to the energy sector in Kosovo upon their return;

—Eligible to receive US F-1 exchange visitor visa.

¹ Participants that pass the first phase of selection will be required to take the TOEFL iBT exam and reach at least 70 points, if they have not already taken it; or English as Second Language (ESL) exam.

² Participants that pass the first phase will be asked to complete standardized mechanical reasoning test in English.
