Millennium Foundation Kosovo (MFK) has launched the second project of the Women in Energy Program, namely Women in Energy Internship Program. This program aims to boost women’s potential for employment in the energy sector by providing them on-the-job experience through paid internships in major energy sector institutions and private firms.
200 young women will benefit from this opportunity, as Millennium Foundation Kosovo (MFK) has invited private companies, government agencies and other public entities in the energy sector, to express their interest to provide them with practical experience in the energy sector.
In parallel, MFK has invited women who are students of a relevant Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, as well as students who have graduated in the last three years but are still unemployed, to express their interest to be part of the sector in a six month’s experience of paid internship in public institutions, private entities, non-governmental organizations and international organizations that are part of the energy sector in Kosovo.
This program is part of Women in Energy Program, a $1.45 million activity, funded by the Millennium Challenge Corporation, aiming to increase women’s awareness of opportunities in the energy sector, provide scholarships, internships, and trainings in order to increase the pool of technically skilled women willing to work in energy-related jobs and build linkages between energy employers and qualified female candidates.
Millennium Foundation Kosovo (MFK) remains committed to initiating sustainable economic opportunities for women which contribute to the improvement of their status in the Kosovo labor market.
